our big day wouldn’t be as special without these people by our side.
Bridal Party
-
Abbie Hinkle
Maid of Honor
Cassy and Abbie met when they were in the same 3rd grade class at their elementary school in Cleveland, TN. Since then, they have been inseparable. From countless sleepovers and trips to the local mall, to hours-long phone conversations about a lot & nothing at all, to attending the wedding of Abbie’s mom (and Cassy’s adoptive matron) in Hawaii, these two are truly what it means to be “best friends for life.” Cassy is so blessed to have such a strong woman, mother, and friend in her life. -
Mary Frances Street
Maid of Honor
Mary Fran(ces) transferred to the University of Tennessee her sophomore year and was part of the same sorority as Cassy. Her first week on campus, Cassy burst into her room ready to welcome her to UT. Of this, Mary Fran wanted none. However awkward their first encounter, Cassy and Mary Fran became best friends while working together at an elementary after school program. Ever since, they have enjoyed countless concerts, girls trips, and game nights together. -
Lauren Butler Feldman
Sister-in-Law (future)
Even though Lauren is Evan’s sister, that did not stop her from immediately treating Cassy like family. In her brief time living in Chattanooga, Lauren jumped right into Cassy’s group of friends and became an important part of Evan and Cassy’s time in Tennessee. As fate would have it, Evan and Cassy now live within walking distance to Lauren and her husband, Jimmy, in Boston. The couples enjoy frequent meals, game nights, and days exploring the North East together. -
Annalise Butler
Sister-in-law (future)
Annalise is Evan’s youngest sister and the proverbial queen of Chatt-town. Cassy famously met Anna on her 18th birthday and they have been two peas in a pod ever since. Additionally, she is Cassy and Evan’s dog’s favorite Butler sibling (sorry, Evan and Lauren). Even though the two rival in size, Max adores his “Auntie Anna.” Cassy, Evan, and Max love when Anna visits them in Boston (which is not as often as any of them prefer!). Cassy is grateful that Anna adopts her as a fellow “Gen-Z” to keep her feeling young. -
Rachel Hight
Bridesmaid
Rachel and Cassy met their freshman year of college at UT via their sorority. While Cassy can’t exactly remember their first meeting, she does know they hit it off right away through their shared love of TV, movies, and pop culture. So much so, they were roommates by their sophomore year! Cassy’s favorite memories are bringing an old VHS player to their apartment to have movies nights and the color-coordinated TV schedule proudly displayed on their fridge so they wouldn’t miss an episode of their combined favorite shows. -
Martha Schettler
Bridesmaid
Cassy went into college thinking she was from a small town in Tennessee and had a thick southern accent - that was until she met Martha. Martha and Cassy bonded over the aforementioned stuff at first, but quickly became friends through impromptu dance battles and love of the same music. Martha and Cassy could be seen every Saturday at Neyland Stadium or otherwise watching the game somewhere. No matter where they supported their Vols, they were always the life of the party. Older and wiser now, Cassy still loves to visit Martha in their college town, Knoxville, TN. -
Kristin Meador
Bridesmaid
Kristin and Cassy often described themselves as “tweedle-dee” and “tweedle-dumb” (respectively). The two met through their sorority and became fast friends. As roommates for two years in college, Kristin and Cassy saw each other through many ups and downs. Possibly the greatest “up” was Cassy being present for Kristin’s first Valentine’s Day with her now-husband, Tom. As the story goes, Tom brought the ingredients and Cassy (+ Rachel) cooked the dinner. Kristin has always been Cassy’s biggest cheerleader and brightest source of sunshine. -
Kathryn Hutcheson
Bridesmaid
Kathryn was in the same sorority as Cassy and lived one floor down from her freshman year. The two became close as they often sent bat signals to meet in each others’ rooms to commiserate over the plight of being a freshman. Kathryn may as well go by Carmen San Diego - because where in the world is she? Cassy is so proud of Kathryn and all the opportunities she created for herself. She has lived in Seattle, NYC, and Chicago - all of which Cassy was fortunate enough to visit her in! Kathryn’s next adventure is in Ireland, where Cassy hopes to keep up the tradition of visiting!
Groomsmen
-
Derron O'Leary
Best Man
Derron and Evan are lifelong friends. The two attended grade school and high school together in Pittsburgh and then both attended Ohio State. Although the two live in different cities now, they stay connected through activities and travel. Most recently, after Derron and Evan passed their WSET Award in Wines exam, the two visited Rome together, accompanied by Cassy & Dilsia, Derron’s girlfriend. -
Andrew Luft
Officiant / Groomsman
Andrew and Evan met their freshman year of college at Ohio State and became fast friends after they were paired together in a karate class (We took serious classes too, I swear). The two bonded over their love of The Beatles and the critically acclaimed TV drama, The OC. Andrew and Evan have enjoyed a number of cross country roadtrips together, most notably from Seattle to Fairbanks, Alaska where Andrew earned his MFA in screenwriting. -
Jimmy Feldman
Brother-in-Law / Groomsman
Jimmy is married to Evan’s eldest sister, Lauren, but, more than that, Evan sees Jimmy as the best brother-in-law he could ask for him and his younger sister, Anna. Evan and Jimmy enjoy joint hobbies of golf, Ohio State football, and exploring New England. Luckily, Jimmy and Evan’s sister, Lauren, live within walking distance, so the couples enjoy game nights, watch parties, and brunches together. -
Eric Parker
Brother-in-law (future) / Groomsman
Eric is Cassy’s only sibling and an integral part of Cassy & Evan’s life as he works for Evan’s favorite hot sauce company. Evan looks forward to the frequent “hook-up” packages sent from Eric full of the best and newest Hoff Sauce creations (seriously, look it up!). Additionally, the two enjoy golfing together - although what Evan does can barely be classified as golf, while Eric may as well be auditioning for the Masters. -
Michael Brown
Cousin / Groomsman
Dahn-Tahn Mike Brown, what else do you need to know? The two cousins grew up on Sunday dinners at their grandparents house where Mike would help Evan sneak extra powered donuts for dessert. A newfound outdoor enthusiast, Mike has allowed Evan to tag along on his excursions some of the US’s greatest national parks. -
Brandon Fitzwater
Groomsman
Brandon and Evan met during their freshman year at Ohio State and were fast friends and roommates by the following year. Brandon has called a number of places home including Germany, Italy, and Brooklyn. The opportunities Brandon has made for himself has provided amazing destination choices for college reunions. -
James Frauen
Groomsman
James and Evan attended grade school and high school together in Pittsburgh, PA. The two reconnected in Boston while James was attending MIT to receive his MBA (He’s wicked smaht); highlights include sailing the Charles River and attending an NBA playoff game at TD Garden. -
Tyler Brennan
Groomsman
Tyler and Evan attended grade school and high school together in Pittsburgh, PA. The two reconnected in Boston when Tyler completed a travel nursing rotation in the city. Always a good time, Tyler is currently allowed in most, but not all, casinos in the US.
Best Dog - Max
As any one who knows Max, “best” usually isn’t the first word that comes to mind. But for Cassy and Evan, Max is their best companion, best defender, and best friend. Max will be present for Cassy & Evan’s big day by way of pre-ceremony photos & as ‘easter eggs’ throughout the event (see if you can spot them all!).
Cassy got Max when she was 23 and a senior at UT. Max was the most adorable, most destructive, most rewarding part of Cassy’s early 20s; she wouldn’t trade a second of it. Max notoriously has his select “crew” and is a bit weary of meeting new people. However, when Max met Evan, it was like they were fast friends already (to Max). To Evan, he had never had a dog before and didn’t understand why Max had so much hair, such big barks, and didn’t obey commands very well. Max quickly grew on Evan, though, and the two are now thick as thieves. Evan gives Max extra scoops of food and treats when they think Cassy isn’t looking.
Max will dutifully fulfill his role as Best Dog.
